EESA AWARDS

The EESA (European Energy Saving Awards) is a key element of the IUSES Project. The EESA launch at the beginning of the 2009/2010 school-year aims to reward schools and individual students who improve their energy-related performance in the current school year through energy efficiency and energy conservation measures.

There are three categories of prizes: schools; individual students and for videos/media.

Participation is open to all secondary schools and students, both as individuals and groups, from the project partner countries. So if you are planning or implementing measures and activities focusing on energy efficiency and conservation, to support changes in energy-related behaviour, to enhance the use of renewable energies or to avoid transport-related congestion and pollution...

This is an opportunity you can’t miss! Apply and take part in the EESA Competition!

The EESA consists of two stages:

1st stage: National competition

For each of the categories, three prizes are awarded for each participating country.

2nd stage: European competition

The winners of the first prizes for each category in each country participate in the European competition

European Award Ceremony

The winners of the European competition for each category will be awarded their prizes during the final IUSES Conference held in Trieste (Italy) in Autumn 2010.

The EESA in Ireland (sponsored by Bord Gáis) was launched on 7th September 2009 by the Minister for Education & Science, at the Bord Gáis Offices in Cork. The EESA aims to reward Irish schools and individual students who improve their energy-related performance in the current school year through energy efficiency and energy conservation measures.

There are three categories of prizes: schools; individual students and for videos/media.

Participation is open to all secondary schools and students in Ireland, both as individuals and groups. So if you are planning or implementing measures and activities focusing on energy efficiency and conservation, to support changes in energy-related behaviour, to enhance the use of renewable energies or to avoid transport-related congestion and pollution...

The EESA aims to reward UK schools and individual students who improve their energy-related performance in the current school year through energy efficiency and energy conservation measures.
